AIM
The aim of
the CCRSO Resource Team is to serve the WHOLE church not just the
Charismatic Renewal or the prayer groups. We will therefore work
closely with Bishops, Pastors and Parish committees to bring the good
news of salvation to as many people as possible.
The CCRSO
Resource Team (usually two or three people, at least one of whom is a
priest) is available for the following events/programs. The Team
coordinator would match Team members to the subjects to be covered in
order to provide the most qualified and talented speakers for the event.
1) Parish Missions
- The Team would normally arrive in the parish on Saturday in order
to introduce the mission to parishioners at the weekend Masses. The
actual mission (Praise & Worship, Teaching, Mass etc) would then
be conducted over 3 or 4 consecutive evenings. The theme for the
mission and the topics to be covered are usually selected by the
Pastor/Parish Committee and the Team Coordinator, in keeping with the
aims of the parish and any spiritual development programs currently
under way in or planned for the parish. - See below for further
information on Parish Missions.
2) Days of
Renewal or Workshops
- Usually these start on a Friday evening and continue all day
Saturday, ending with Mass on the Saturday evening. Both the Day of
Renewal and the Workshop would normally focus on one general topic,
such as Healing and Deliverance or Leadership Training or the Gifts
of the Spirit etc. Workshops would involve more "hands on/practical"
demonstrations.
3) Mini-conferences
- Similar to our annual conferences in Hamilton. These are usually
held on a Saturday and/or Sunday and consist of the recitation of the
Rosary, Praise and Worship, two or more Teachings around a central
theme/topic, Confessions, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament,
Healing Service and ending with Mass.
4) Retreats
- Usually spread over a weekend - Friday evening to Sunday midday,
preferably held in a quiet setting with all the participants housed
in one location. Will consist mainly of individual and community
prayer time, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Mass, talks,
reflection etc., quite often focused on a central theme.
