After eight years of service as the Director of Service to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services of Ontario (CCRSO), Fr. Peter has been called by his bishop to return to parish duties in the diocese. He has been appointed as pastor of St. Andrew Parish in Oakville.
Fr. Peter has been involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal before the beginning of the provincial body and a member of the CCRSO since its inception. He has been the pastor of the Renewal from the time of his appointment as Director of Service.
Fr. Peter's commitment to the work of the "New Evangelization" is manifest in the many hats he wore. Director of Service to the CCRSO, Chairperson of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services of (Anglophone) Canada (CCRSC), Editor of The Bread of Life magazine, Bishop's Liaison to the CCRSC, and prime mover of the Catholic Crusade held annually at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton. In addition, Fr. Peter is recognized internationally as an author, publisher, teacher and
minister of healing. His audio and video teaching tapes are used throughout the country and internationally.
The members of the provincial body (CCRSO) would like to extend a sincere appreciation to our friend and mentor. He has challenged and empowered us. The most significant example of his influence has been our reception of the news of his resignation. While we were all saddened by the resignation, we were confident that his teach-ing example and encouragement had equipped us to continue in his absence. What more could we say of a leader.
We are sure that we will continue to experience the influence of Fr. Peter.
We pray for you and your work, Fr. Peter, as you have prayed for us. May the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit continue to work in and through you and may all who you meet be blessed as we were.
